From the dancing lady in that red dress to the pineapple icon, fashion insiders have their very own emoji dictionary. Victoria Beckham regularly includes hearts and hands clasped in prayer on her Instagram posts, while Gisele Bunchden is known for her emoji obsession. And it doesn’t stop at social media: Donatella Versace’s autumn/winter 2015 collection was all about hashtags and Emojis on mini dresses; the designer has also confessed she uses them in her personal correspondence.

Not only the fashion industry is handling this trend like it’s the human nature, also young parents have a way of their own to merge their digital lifestyle with their physical one. More and more parents from the United States use the photo app Instagram as inspiration for choosing a baby name. The name Lux grew the most with 75 percent, followed by Ludwig, Juno and Valencia. All these are some Instagram filters Instagrammers can use to edit their photos. “This is the first year that so many baby names are inspired by technology,” said Linda Murray of Babycenter.com. “Social media is an important component in the daily lives of parents. Apparently that affects their decisions, like choosing a name for their newborn baby.”
