It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Families come together, you can stuff yourself with food, children are deliriously happy being spoilt rotten and with a bit of luck the streets are covered by a white blanket of fun. It sounds like the perfect fairytale.

Gifts are spread carelessly all over the floor and parents don’t seem to mind. Until the next morning when still sleepy from excitement of the night before they experience the sadistic torture of a LEGO block digging into the sensitive underside of their foot.

Allthough LEGO sets seem like a wonderful way to spark creativity in both kids and adults, they need to fix this big hazard.

And, thank god, after sixty years they came up with a solution; the anti-LEGO slippers! LEGO let Brand Station, a French advertising agency, create protective Lego slippers as part of a holiday promotion.

Have a happy holiday with a massive amount of LEGO, because the padding on the insoles protects your tootsies from even the biggest pieces. You could step on a Duplo brick and come out fine. You could also even crush an entire LEGO Millennium Falcon. But be warned: do not let the slippers’ superpowers go to your head just yet. Because only 1,500 pairs of slippers were produced and they’ll be given away at random to people who fill out a Christmas wish list on the Lego France website.

Hm… we’d prefer to see an unlimited edition of these slippers. They’re practically a basic human need for most parents of young kids.
